KTS - Mrs. Njie - Grade 3 2020-21

We are keeping really busy this week. We have been practicing uploading pictures to our Google Docs. We are using the pictures to enhance our paragraph about Simon Beck.

In our paragraph, we had to include:

• A topic sentence
• a description of how he makes his art
• What pictures/ designs he has done
• descriptive language (adjectives and verbs)
• revised our work so it makes sense
• edited our work for spelling and punctuation

The plan for the paragraph:

Before we printed our work we had to conference with the teacher who gave us a little help so we could reach our 'next steps' in learning.

Missing from the criteria is a 'tie -up'

In math we have been representing multiplication in different ways, using the 12 Days of Christmas song. You can try this at home. Look at the picture to see what we did. 

We can show multiplication with:

• groups of 
• piles of
• repeated addition
• regular multiplication  

Don't forget, our performance is on Wednesday at 8:30am!
